Optoelectronic Applications I : Photodetectors

Ultrathin 1D and 2D materials possess a wide range of bandgaps, enabling the detection of photons across various wavelengths. By employing suitable structural designs or forming heterojunctions with bulk materials, fast and broadband photodetection can be achieved.

Optoelectronic Applications II : Photovoltaic Devices

The photovoltaic effect typically occurs in well-designed p–n junctions or heterojunctions. 1D and 2D materials possess unique band structures and tunable properties, which can be exploited to construct a variety of photovoltaic devices.
